Welcome to the Cambridge Rowing Tank. This is the first 8-person indoor training facility of its kind in the East of England. Consisting of two 10 tonne pools of water and a high tech AV system, this facility allows rowers to improve their technique in laboratory style conditions.
This tank can be used for both sweep and sculling which will allow it to form a key component of all rowers’ training schedules. It gives coaches the opportunity to teach the very basic rowing stroke to complete novices, all the way up to perfecting the minute details of the stroke in more experienced athletes.
After a two year building project, the tank was opened for use in January 2018. It can be booked by all clubs in the surrounding area, all the way from schools to Veterans! Sessions in the tank cost £40/h, however, if this is your first booking for your club then you are eligible for a free session to try it out. To request a FREE session please fill in the online form which can be found here.
